Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)

Aging, pregnancies, weight fluctuations or prior surgeries may contribute to excess collections of unwanted fat and sagging skin in the tummy area. A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove this excess skin and fat from the abdomen. A tummy tuck may be combined with other body-contouring procedures such as liposuction or repair of separated abdominal muscles. Your CU Plastic Surgery provider will work with you directly to determine your individualized approach.

Belt lipectomy

Massive weight loss can leave behind excess skin. A belt lipectomy is a surgical procedure that is typically performed in conjunction with a tummy tuck, or abdominalplasty, after massive weight loss. This procedure extends around the lower back to remove excess skin and lift the buttocks. A lower body lift may alternatively involve the thighs and/or buttocks to remove excess skin and improve contour. Your CU Plastic Surgery provider will work with you directly to determine your individualized approach.

Arm lift

Fluctuations in weight, growing older, and heredity can cause upper arms to have a drooping, sagging appearance that cannot be fixed with exercise. An arm lift, or brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to reduce excess skin and fat of the upper arms. The incisions are typically placed on the inside or back of the arm and your surgery may be combined with liposuction to improve contour. Your CU Plastic Surgery provider will work with you directly to determine your individualized approach.

Butt lift

Time, pregnancy or weight loss can affect the skin laxity and tone of the buttocks. A butt lift, or buttock augmentation, is a surgical procedure to improve the contour and projection of the buttocks. The procedure may involve incisions to lift the buttocks and/or fat grafting to increase the volume and shape of the buttocks. Fat grafting uses liposuction to take fat from other parts of your body and inject it into your buttocks. Your CU Plastic Surgery provider will work with you directly to determine your individualized approach.

Liposuction

Liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits and improving the body contours and proportion. Liposuction uses a special surgical instrument called a cannula, to break up and remove excess fat deposits. Liposuction may be combined with other body contouring procedures such as a tummy tuck, thigh lift or breast augmentation. Your CU Plastic Surgery provider will work with you directly to determine your individualized approach.

Thigh lift

Time, pregnancy or weight loss can affect the skin laxity and tone of the thighs. A thigh lift is a surgical procedure to smooth, contour and remove excess skin and fat from the thighs. The incisions may be concealed along the groin or extend down the inner thigh. A thigh lift may be combined with other body contouring procedures such as liposuction or tummy tuck. Your CU Plastic Surgery provider will work with you directly to determine your individualized approach.
